Marie Laure Donck,
Chief Executive Officer
Marie-Laure created Octagon as Chief Executive Officer in January 2020 with over 30 years of experience in non-ferrous trading. She worked 27 years for the international commodity trading company TRAXYS where she headed the copper raw materials department with a focus on sourcing in Africa and Turkey. She has also developed strong relationships with Chinese partners over the years and has worked for more than 2 years for a Chinese listed mining company – Cheng Tun Mining – which did major copper, cobalt and nickel investments in DRC and Zambia. She worked in Europe and traded mainly for African, South American and Asian markets. Marie-Laure graduated as a Metallurgical Engineer from Ecole Polytechnique de Bruxelles.
Our CFO has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, out of which 20 years in Commodity Trade Finance at Paribas bank. He graduated from a French National Engineer High School (ENSMM) and also holds a Master degree in Audit and Finance from ESCP Europe Business School in Paris.
Hassan Moukachar
is active in Southern Africa for almost 20 years with an extensive experience not only in logistics operations but also on managing mine and site operations in DRC. Hassan obtained two bachelors degrees in Business Administration (Accounting & Finance and Management & Marketing) at Lebanese University in Beirut.
Ho Lun Ng
is a young entrepreneur active in real estate in USA (9Fedorall LLC and SMGK LLC) and he created a digital marketing agency (Top Channel Inc). He manages and develops Huachin Holding Ltd as a leading diversified private group based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Ho Lun graduated from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA and hold a Major in Business Finance and Economics.
Maurice Taylor
is an independent consultant in the field of international trade finance with 30 years of experience in providing assistance to commodity traders. He is the founder of MFT Services, a company which provides specialised and high-end solutions for the management and operations of commodity trading companies. Prior to his current activities, Maurice was a bank manager at BBL, Geneva and Banque Paribas (Suisse) SA, Geneva. He holds a B.A degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University, USA.
